These terms apply to the Service Break app and to service-break.com. They are between you and SERVICE BREAK LLC. By using Service Break you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
We've kept this short and in plain language, because a term nobody reads protects nobody.
Service Break shows live professional tennis matches and sends you a notification when a service break or tiebreak happens in a match you've chosen to follow. It's free. There's no account, no sign-up and no ads.
We don't create any of the score data. It comes from a third-party feed. We show you what that feed tells us.
Service Break is not an official source and you should not rely on it for anything that matters.
Scores can lag behind play. A score can freeze — the app keeps showing the last thing it was told while the match moves on — and we can't always tell when that's happening. We show a "Score may be delayed" indicator when we can detect it, but we can only prove when data last reached us, not whether the score changed since.
We don't warrant that any score, status or event shown is accurate, complete or current at the moment you see it. The people who supply the data don't warrant it to us either.
An alert may arrive late. It may not arrive at all. Delivery depends on your operating system, your browser, your notification permissions, your network, and your own settings — most of which we can't see and none of which we control.
One platform limitation worth knowing: iPhone browser tabs cannot deliver notifications at all. That's an Apple restriction, not our choice. On iPhone, the app is the only way to get alerts in the background.
Don't rely on an alert for any decision that matters to you. We're not liable for anything you do, or don't do, because an alert arrived, arrived late, or never came.
We don't organise tournaments, set draws or brackets, publish official schedules, or decide when anything is played. We report what the feed reports.
Matches start early and start late. Schedules change without notice. Play gets interrupted by weather, light, injury, medical timeouts and officials' decisions, and an interrupted match may still show as live. Matches get suspended, resumed another day, cancelled, walked over, defaulted, or retired from. We publish schedule information; we don't provide it, and we don't promise any listed match will be played, will start when listed, or will finish.
The governing bodies and tournaments set the rules, apply them, and change them — without telling us. The rules also aren't uniform. A tiebreak might be first to seven, first to ten, or first to twelve depending on the tour, the event and which set it is.
So we report events as the underlying feed classifies them. How any event is classified may differ between tournaments and may change.
We can send a notification. We can't make your phone make a noise.
Whether an alert is audible depends on your silent switch, your Focus or Do Not Disturb settings, your per-app notification settings, your volume, and the quiet hours and snooze you've set inside the app. All of that sits between us and you.
On iPhone, with your permission, some alerts can be delivered as Time-Sensitive and may break through a Focus. That's a permission you grant, not a guarantee we make, and it doesn't change anything above.
Service Break may be unavailable, interrupted, delayed or simply broken. An alert may fail to send. A snooze or a quiet-hours period may fail to suppress an alert it should have suppressed — we mention that one specifically because it's the failure most likely to actually bother you, and we'd rather say it than pretend it can't happen.
We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time. Our own data supply can be changed or withdrawn by the people who provide it, without notice to us.

Using Service Break doesn't give you any licence to the underlying score data.
The Service Break name, the ℠ mark, the logo, the design, the layout and the software are ours. Match scores and sports facts are not — those belong to the world.
Service Break gives no betting, wagering or investment advice. We have no affiliation, partnership or relationship with any sportsbook, betting operator or prediction market. Nothing shown in the app or on our website is a recommendation to place a bet, to make a trade, or to refrain from either.
If you gamble or trade, that's your business and your responsibility, including complying with the law where you live.
On our website, some matches show a "Trade" link. It opens Polymarket US in a new tab. Polymarket US is a separate company, operated by QCX, LLC.
We are not connected to them. We are not paid for the link, we earn nothing if you use it, and we have no arrangement of any kind with them. If that ever changes, we will say so here before it does.
We do not run the market and we do not price it. We do not choose which matches have one, we have no say in the odds, and we have no part in deciding whether a market resolves your way. The link points at their page for the match you were looking at — that is all it is.
Nothing on Service Break is advice. Not the link, not its position on the row, not the fact that we show one match and not another. We do not recommend trading, we take no view on any market, and showing a link is not a suggestion that you use it.
Whether you may use Polymarket US is between you and them. It is not available everywhere, it is for adults only, and their rules and the law where you live decide whether you can take part — not us. We make no promise that the link will work for you.
Once you leave, you are on their site. Their terms and their privacy policy apply, not ours. We are not responsible for what happens there, including anything you lose.
And our match data is not their match data. We describe what we show and when it was last updated; we make no claim that it matches what any market is using. Do not rely on our score to decide a trade.
Service Break is for adults — 18, or the higher age of majority where you live. It isn't intended for or directed at anyone younger.
Service Break is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
If you're a consumer in the EU, the UK, or anywhere else with mandatory consumer protection law, nothing here takes away rights you have under that law. Where a term in these Terms conflicts with a right you can't waive, your right wins and the rest of these Terms still applies.
To the fullest extent the law allows, SERVICE BREAK LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any lost profits, lost opportunity, or losses arising from any decision you made using Service Break. That includes any decision to trade, or not to trade, on any market we link to.
Service Break is free. We've received nothing from you, so our total liability to you is limited accordingly. Again: if you're a consumer somewhere that doesn't permit that limit, it doesn't apply to you — in particular we don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You can stop using Service Break at any time by deleting the app or closing the page. We can suspend or end your access if you use the service in a way these Terms don't allow.
What we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy. One thing from it matters here: we can't identify you. There's no account and no name attached to anything we hold, so if we ever need to reach you individually, we can't.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts of Illinois will have jurisdiction.
If you're a consumer in the EU or the UK, this doesn't affect your right to bring proceedings in your own country, or the protection of the mandatory laws that apply where you live.
If these Terms change, the new version appears at this address with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll note it in the app.
If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and SERVICE BREAK LLC about Service Break.
